Why Does Cold Pop Get Warm but Hot Cocoa Get Cold?

It all depends on the way heat behaves: it always flows from someplace hotter toward someplace cooler. For something hot like cocoa, the heat flows from the cocoa to the air of the room. So the cocoa cools down. If you leave it overnight, it will become the same temperature as the surrounding air.

Room air is warmer than cold pop. So the heat flows from room air to the pop, and the pop warms up. If you leave the pop overnight, it will have time to reach the same temperature as the surrounding air ( and the cocoa).
